We hope you love what you ordered, but if something isn't right, let us know. We're happy to exchange your item or refund your money. Our ultimate goal is for you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Bittner the Pleasure of Writing. Please read all conditions below. If conditions are not met, Bittner the Pleasure of Writing reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee not less than 15%.
How to return or exchange an item:
In order to return an item you need to first obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

To request an RMA number by phone, call Customer Service at 1-888-BITTNER
Place the original package into a shipping carton.
The RMA number must be clearly written on the outer box. If you received a label in the email, print the label and tape it to the carton.
We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Directions and Rules:
All returned or exchanged items must be in new condition, in their original box, and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories.
RMA numbers are valid for 10 days.
Bittner the Pleasure of Writing is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us. We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only.
At Bittner the Pleasure of Writing, we're dedicated to delivering your purchase as quickly and affordably as possible. We offer a range of delivery and pickup options, so you can choose the shipping method that best meets your needs.
During the checkout process, you'll have the opportunity to choose from a variety of pickup and shipping options. The shipping rate and delivery time will vary based on the method you choose. Delivery options include:
Parcel Shipping orders are shipped directly to your location. Orders received by noon EST on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) are packed and shipped the same day. Items ordered after noon EST will ship the following business day. All orders will be processed within 24 hours.
We currently offer three parcel shipping options:
Standard: Your order is delivered to your shipping address one to three business days after processing.
Two Business Day: Your order is delivered to your shipping address two business days after it has been processed. For orders placed during the weekend, allow one business day for processing and two business days for delivery.
Next Business Day: Your order is delivered to your shipping address the next business day after it has been processed. For orders placed during the weekend, allow one business day for processing and one business day for delivery. Items ordered after noon EST will not ship until the following business day.
All shipping methods are dependant upon the item being in stock.
Some other things to know:
To qualify for free ground shipping, your order must total $100 or more before any taxes, fees or shipping charges are added.
Free shipping applies only to locations in the contiguous United States. Orders shipped through the Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO), to international addresses, or to locations in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Palau and US protectorates are not eligible for free shipping.
Free shipping applies only to orders weighing less than 150 lbs., or 70 lbs. for P.O. Box or APO / FPO addresses, that meet standard weight or cube requirements.
Free ground shipping does not apply to gift card purchases or “special order” items.
Free ground shipping will not apply if eligible items are canceled, resulting in an order total of less than $100.

Bittner the Pleasure of Writing offers a variety of shipping methods. When you begin the checkout process, you'll be able to choose from our range of delivery options to find the one that works best for you. The shipping method and level of service you choose, as well as your order's total weight, will determine your shipping rates. If you decide to return your order, shipping charges are not refundable.
If your order contains more than one item, Bittner the Pleasure of Writing may expedite delivery by shipping your order from multiple locations. As a result, you may receive multiple packages. There will be no additional shipping costs. You may see more than one charge for shipping on your credit card statement, but the total of these charges will not exceed the total shipping fee calculated on your receipt.
P.O. Box, APO and FPO Addresses
Orders being sent to a P.O. Box or an Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO) address can only be sent via standard one to three business day shipping. For these orders, shipping rates are based on the weight of your order alone. Due to postal regulations, items weighing more than 70 lbs. cannot be shipped to P.O. Box, APO or FPO addresses.
If you choose parcel shipping as your shipping method, a third-party shipping provider will deliver your order: UPS, FedEx or the US Postal Service. These carriers offer order-tracking service, which allows you to monitor your package as it makes its way to its final address.
When your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail shipping confirmation containing a tracking or delivery confirmation number. You can check the status of your shipment in the following ways:
