Bentley Teams Up With Graf von Faber Castell Pens
Geography and core product ranges aside, “Bentley and Graf von Faber Castell share many things in common,” says Count Charles von Faber-Castell, Head of Premium: “Many years of tradition shaped by individuals, unique design, uncompromising quality and understated elegance.”
The fountain pen has a rhodium plated steel nub and the rollerball and ballpoint pens also have several of the design cues found in luxury cars. For example, the pen cap is finished with distinctive knurling along the distinctive Bently ‘B”. There is a grill inspired diamond pattern is seen in the refined guilloche on the barrel of the pen giving it that polished chromed look of a luxury vehicle.
“Infusing other products with Bentley’s DNA is no easy task,” explains Chris Cooke, Head of Product Design at Bentley Motors. “But we managed it with our ‘Graf von Faber Castell pens for Bentley’ collection.”
Graf von Faber Castell pens signature style is clearly on display in such details as the solid sprung pen clip, the platinum-plated accents and their unique elegant profile—all well-known cues within the Graf von Faber Castell pen line. Thus, the design of the pens was a collaborative effort, says Sheila Hopkins, national sales director, Faber Castell premium writing instruments.
