The Lord Ganesha fountain pen collection is crafted with extraordinary skill using techniques including gold vermeil, opaque white hard enamel, and a translucent colored enamel. Learn more of the story behind the pen in Pen World's June 2019 article on David Oscarson.

The pen is replete with symbolism, from the three separate images of Ganesha on the pen clip, cap, and barrel, to the rat at his feet. The prayer to Lord Ganesha inscribed on the grip is written in a font that bears a resemblance to Sanskrit an ancient Indian language, as is the OM symbol, written thrice around the top of the cap. Learn more about the pen's symbolism in our blog post.

In Hindu mythological literature, Ganesha is described as having a human form with an elephant’s head. One of his tusks is broken. He has a conspicuously large stomach and sits with one leg folded in. At his feet lies a variety of food with a rat looking up at him as if asking for permission to eat. This mystical form of Ganesha represents deep philosophical significance and the path to reach the supreme state of human perfection.

Limited to just 108 pieces, a holy numeral in Indian culture, in each color, the Lord Ganesha pen arrives in a beautiful display box.

The Lord Ganesha is also available in a convertible fountain pen to rollerball model.
