Visconti has introduced a new color—Cobalt—to the Torpedo collection, with a design inspired by futuristic ideals and a need for speed. For this newest addition, Visconti sourced 'cobalt blue' unidirectional carbon graphite, a material commonly used in the automotive sector, for the body, and added trims in ruthenium plating.
The Torpedo's ogival shape with a rounded and tapered end makes it powerful and aerodynamic, combining two stylistic components of Visconti's high end pens: a demonstrator and a skeleton body. Surrounding the carbon graphite of the barrel is a light metal 'skeleton' that surrounds two transparent openings which allow you to see the internal filing system. The transparent acrylic resin of the demonstrator windows has been worked in such a way as to be aligned with the carbon fiber—not sunken in—thus contributing to the fluidity of the design.
Limited to just 288 pieces worldwide, the Torpedo arrives in a special limited edition gift box.
